OK i ordered some now to wait for snail mail i hope i can catch it before it gets bad i tried so hard to make sure they wouldn't get something wrong with their little legs and then this happens  

Don't worry. Find the brewers yeast and put it on there food. Not sure if you should do that and the niacin in the water.... might over due it. I'm sure they will be fine and next time you will know to have niacin or brewers yeast ready for when the ducklings hatch

The males sound almost whispery. The females have a loud definite quack.

It's a quack peep, it sounds mostly like a peep, but has a slight qua--sound at the beginning, lol.

I did a generic search for information on free range ducks... and this popped up. EBay is trying to tempt me...

holy those prices are great but the thing is with eBay you run the risk of bad shipping practices and broken eggs

You should only give them the no-flush and the not long released (time released?) ones. Probably have to order it online as many I have found state this in the small print.

Then give them 100-150mg/gal water. Shake it up first, then after 15 min shake again. I usually shake also before giving it to them. The turned legs straightened out for me and the one with severe problems standing is one year old and fine now.

it will say if the niacin is time released on the bottle right and if time released isn't on the bottle it isn't right? if so i think i can get some tablets tonight?

They absolutely need niacin! You can use brewers yeast or nutritional yeast (we get nutritional yeast from the store in the spice section) but they need it! Don't wait to go get some! We sprinkle nutritional yeast in there food. Niacin you can just put in there water

I just sprinkled it over there food and mixed it in. About a tablespoon to two cups of food I think.

Oh and we did it from the day we got them, which was the day all but one was born. The lady just said sprinkle it over there food and mix it in.
