Ancona Ducks

Our ducks & chickens are all eating together.. Is this okay for the chickens?? When our duck hens do go broody I would like to be prepaired... We have both feed from 22% to scratch. Our local feed store also carries 28%.. They all prefer the FF, we just bought extra feed from someone, so now they have 3 different to choose from..
Have to watch the protein with ducks, I believe. You don't want it too high. Brewer's Yeast is good for any animal.

Hay this is by us!! You would not want to ship in this heat!!! They would not make it.. I know some people that know some people in that town.. However we have a friend that will incubate for us..
We really only like our hens to hatch.. I can look into it but unless someone is driving this way, whoever buys this & ships it, they will be disappointed.. Also, this discussion just came up on our Arizona thread.. @desertmarcy mentioned that US mail has changed their policy of allowing "live shipments" to go into the front cab of the vehicle.. Our experience with shipped eggs from UPS, was a total loss.. Ask he for more details, I hope I am explaining this correctly..

I am actually planning on getting some eggs from someone here if I can. But it's been 90 degrees all week. Not sure I'd call that ideal shipping weather..... :/ It's not usually so hot around here and it finally rained and the clouds are back today...

They have such wonderful coloring, Alice. When will they start laying?

From what I hear around five or six months old, so October or november. I will for sure post pics when I get eggs! And thank you, they are super pretty. Ana has quiet a bit of green mixed with her black feathers and looks amazing when the light hits her right ;)
