I have been reading Carol Deppe's book and am now fascinated by ducks. I have 9 chickens but have not yet ventured into DuckLand....but this posting is making me wish I had an Ancona. I have no room for 10 ducks but could definitely have two...anyone know of how I can get two in California? I have mail ordered chicks with some success, but would rather find a local breeder. LOVE the pics!

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and your love of Anconas everyone! They are all so beautiful!

My eggs came today and I have to say that IS THE BEST packaging I have seen in a long time!

Not one eggs was broke and I love the colors of some of the eggs some are purple!

Thanks again

Thanks! I'm so glad they arrived safely. Can't wait to see what hatches. There's an EXTREME likelihood that you will get several lavenders. I have more lavenders than any other color

Where in NorCal are you? You could possibly drive to Metzer Farms. We did...and it was like a 5 hour drive

Thanks treldib! I might do that. Very good idea!--I had hoped for some Anconas but am also thinking about Khaki Campbells or Welsh Harlequins.
