Hybrid ducklings, hatched 6/2 and 6/3 are available NOW. Four ducklings of the original brood (8) remain. UPDATE: 4 left, must go together! New pictures, ready NOW! First come first served, experienced duck parents preferred. The last two pictures were taken this weekend. Get them while they're fluffy!
The mother is a Silver Appleyard and the father is Ancona. The cross has produced two distinct color patterns:
1. White (yellow) with darker striping down the head and neck, darker tail feathers
2. Black (brown/gray?) with white throats and bellies, Ancona-type speckling on the bills and feet
This brood was a surprise to us! Our Silver Appleyard actually hatched these herself while we were distracted. As much as wed love to keep them, we simply don't have enough room for them to roam. Prospective duck parents must take ALL FOUR together, and only to be kept as pets/egg layers. You pick up in Vero Beach, FL. Serious inquiries only please.
