I don't think he's a barred variety of a pure breed, he only looks single barred.

He's from Welp, which doesn't go in for so many designer hybrids as some of the others.

He is either an "oops" cockerel from a Brown Egg Assorted set of pullets or a random extra tossed in as #26 on my order of 25 (10 Blue Australorp pullets, 5 Blue Australorp straight run (all of whom are boys), and 10 Brown Egg Assorted pullets). I got 26 chicks out of that -- 3 Mottled Java, 2 that y'all have ID's as Barred Rocks, 1 red one that y'all have ID's as either a Red Sexlink or a Production Red, and 16 members of "the blue blob".
