my chics become chickens. Where'd the cute little furballs go?? I mean they are still mostly fluff, but now they have long necks and walk like chickens, perch like chickens, lots of little chicken feathers and they eye me like a raptor... yeah, Its kind of creepy, I pulled one of them out and the other three looked like they were about to mount an attack... should I be worried? Its absolutely amazing to me how fast chickens grow up. My hatchilings are 17 weeks old now, hatched 2/1-2. The roos are larger than my RIR hen. The ladies are her size. They just don't weigh as much.

Share some pics of your babies!

Yup, it happens, and yes, be afraid, be very afraid!!!! Not that they will kill you or something, but that you will become so addicted once they are big that you will become overrun with chickies!!!!! LOL I like baby chickies. Like them a lot!!! However, I am totallly smitten with adult chickens. Cute gets old. Grown chickens are GORGEOUS, sweet, smart, AND make eggs for you!!! What more can one ask for in a pet!!!!! [IMG]

Hmm. I could have written this about my daughter several months ago! Waitasec...yesterday she was in diapers, in January she was in her wedding gown! How the heck did THAT happen?

And while we're on that topic, how did I get to be nearly 50?

Thanks for the warning that our chicklets grow up as quickly as our kids...I'll be sure to keep a camera nearby when my girls arrive!
