Our Andalusian rooster that we showed at last year's CO state fair recently lost all the tips on his comb during a recent cold front. Will this effect his ability to place well at next year's fair. He is a great breeding rooster and we have gotten several great crossbred chicks out of him but want to ensure my daughter is working with the ones that she will be showing and let him just be. Thanks for your help.

I've seen many photos of showbirds and champion birds that were dubbed from frostbite but as I don't show birds I am not an expert on this at all. Hope someone with more info answers.

Could you post a photo of his comb? If there are still some visible points to the comb, then his chances of doing well shouldn't be hurt too much. But if only the smooth part of the comb is left, then it would be best to not show him. He'll still be a great breeder, though.
