Anemia...what do you give for it?

assuming its for your birds, how old are they? broccoli and spinach are sources of iron. elaborate a little and im sure someone will jump in with more info

on another message I posted about Sweet Pea someone thought she is probably anemic...her coloring is so pale...you can see the difference between her and the others..as well as the very pale face...can I give her something to see if it helps??

They will be 17 weeks old this coming Sunday...I've had eye / ear problems with her on and off...but the coloring issue has been this way...

Has she lost weight? She does look like she has an eye thing going on, poor baby. You can give cooked liver, great source of iron, scrambled eggs, Red Cell (Horse Vitamin), etc. Keep her hydrated with electrolites. What have you been giving for her eye? Some Meds can upset their stomach so giving some brobios, will help put back the natural gut bacteria.

Last night she looks much better again...do you think I should wait a few days to see if this has taken care of itself and if it rears up again then do something? The swelling was way down on her ear and her eye and she actually had a pink tone to her skin that was so gray...I was so excited to see that she looked better last night!!!

I still have them on starter/grower so if I give her some scrambled eggs will she need grit to go with it or will she be ok w/o?

She hasn't lost any weight..her weight has been the same , just that she is smaller than the rest...

I put them all on TERRAMYCIN Soluble for 14 days since I didn't know if it was something contagious or not when it started...thats all I have given her...
