Angel wing / slip wing

Hi I have a 5 day old copper maran chick, almost appears like it has angel wing (I know that’s a waterfowl term.) the wings are flipped over and sticking out like what I would see on ducks. What can I do? Thank you!

Chicks don't get angel wing. I've seen feathers growing in like that before. It generally will straighten out as they continue to come in.

I personally like to feed a daily helping of scrambled eggs to my chicks and it seems to help them feather out more quickly.

Ok, thanks!! , I had 3 Marans like this. One died this morning. now I’m worried about the others. Matter of fact all 6 of my Marans are just acting blah. I thought it might have been a breed trait or something (never had Marans before) but I’m slightly worried about them now. All 30 of my other guys are acting normal.

They came from a hatchery? Sometimes the trip is too much on some.

Yes. They all showed up alive in 2 days. 5 days later they’re starting to die.

What ever came of your chickens? Did their feathers grow in normally? I have an Easter Egger that has the same looking feathers growing in.

I’d also like to know if an update. We have this problem with one of our silver laced Wyandotte girls.
