Animal abuse?!?

The neighbors have done no work to make anything better, one of the girls came to me for help because the chickens toes were starting to get the rock hard balls of poo/mudd forming and the pad of the foot has a layer too and I told them to soak the foot and gentle wipe till it was gone but it would get like that again till there was bedding down. I did see the ag guy there today but he did not come to my house this time maybe he will call me.. I saw her leave right after he left and she was ferious so I am only hoping that it means he wasnt happy..

Its unbelievable that they haven't made any tries to make the situation better. Usually with the threat of their "possessions" being taken away, they do something to change. I guess those people really just don't care about any thing but themselves. Hopefully the AG guy will call you and let you know whats going on, and maybe he will be back tomorrow to pick the birds up. Lets keep our fingers crossed for that!

There was no bedding bought she came home with mcdonalds......
It is amazing that nothing was done, I agree but if you knew these people you would be amazed that people like this are real and not just in the movies. I have never met people like this with such disregaurd for life. The man over there has in the last 2 years shot and killed 3 cats and 2 oppossums and 2 of his own dogs. The dogs cause they were sick and he didnt want to waste money on a vet, the others cause they get in his trash pile, he burns his trash well hasnt in the past 8 months.(exactly) Those animals really need to be placed in a better home...

And McDonalds is expensive, she sounds like she's just too lazy...

Who goes out just to buy Mcdonalds? We would eat it if were out, if were ome, well then we eat something at home..

Yea I know and were I live the nearest mcdonalds is 25 mins away. The neighbor called and said the AG guy said he is submitting an action to remove the animals, I guess they have to get approval from a higher board??? Not sure I have never been thru this so I dont know how it works. I guess it can be denied by the higher people, he has to submitt photos and bring out a second official so their is a second opinion on it. Wow so many steps while the birds are still suffereing,, but at least something is in the works.

By the way, when it comes to the well-being of anyone who can't help themselves, I don't think being anonymous is cowardly. Esp. considering all that you offered those people and their birds. You did what you had to do to protect those animals and protect yours. Still can't believe this neighbor threatened to release your birds and then had the gall to actually try and do it. Some people are pathetic.

Thank you, I just cant stand letting them die if I can help. Those people still try to be "friends" with me, after what they have done ,, no way. You try to harm my animals and its over....

Just imagine what would happen if they knew it was me... OH man!!! BTW still looking for a new house,, I gotta get away from the drama..

I think they need yo bring the case nefore a judge befote they remove animals. I Thonk the "owners " have a right to appear, but not an actual trial or anything. Special administratovr judge.
Thats how it is with pets in some other states anywa as far as All these steps" goes, the law needs to jave manu safeguards built in when its a matter of The Government seizing private proprty.
animals are pretty much considerred property under the law.children too for that matter. Not too long ago wives were legal property of their husbands.
chickens are lucky to jave any rights to humane treatment at all.
THE HUMANE SOCIETY is responsible for anything in law that treats animals any better than other property.
Remember not too long ago in Missouri, people wanted to pass a law putting a Tiny bit of humabe regulation onto puppy mills?
There qas a LOT of campaigning against it badmouthing the Hunabe Society as radi als who wanted everyone to be vegitarians.
the campaign convinced a lot of folks that this puppy mill law would be bad for farmers... Although it narrowly passed, it waa basically undone bymocongress.
those chickens. Etc are very lucky to live next to you.
in my experience, the general treatment of and attitude toward animalsis far far worse, sort of behind, any other places ive lived.

Mayne theywill take the birds and your neighbors wont replace them. The neighbors can just have somethhing to complain about ( the bad guys who took their birds away) which is almost as good as having something to abuse.
feel .so bad for those kids.

I do recall th epuppy mill thing... I am very thankful to have found the AG guy so eager and willing and passionate to help out one little situation. I am hoping they dont replace but that has been the word from the small children... Maybe sense will be slapped into them and they will just do like you said and have something to complain about and that will be enough. The kids are another story as the adults over there are facing a trial for child abuse( not my doing) sometime this month..
