Animal Husbandry???

Not sure if this is where this question should go but, what is your definition of animal husbandry?? My town ordinance says no animal husbandry in my area. So I supposedly can't "breed" and sell hatching eggs, or chicks. And maybe not even eating eggs. I guess I'm just wondering what do I do with all the "extra" fertilized eggs and chicks. I mean if I can have roosters I'm going to end up with them anyway.

Does that mean that I can't own dogs, cats, & bunnies???

Whats the law actually say? If it just says no animal husbandry you could probably get it thrown out as unconstitutionally over broad.

Isn't it illegal to marry and animal in the US? I suppose that, after a divorce, one might wonder.

This is the definition according to Dictionary.com-----the science of breed, feeding, and tending domestic animals, especially farm animals.

The definition given includes all three activities, it does not say "or". therefore, by definition having a dog or cat or rabbit and taking care of it is not animal husbandry. eggs for consumption falls into a different category as you do not need the rooster to mate with the hen to get the egg. if you have fertilized eggs they can still be sold for eating....other laws permitting. just because you have a rooster doesn't mean the eggs must be hatched.
