And I'm a Christian... my mother's a bit lenient with what I read... and yet I'm not allowed to watch anything over PG.

Ha. My family regularly watch R rated movies. War movies, you know. Cuz blood and guts are fine, but no nudity.
Personally, I like animated movies and happy fuzzy feeling. Like lego movie.
