Just moved to over an acre lot in Anna and want to know if anyone else wants to have or has chickens and what I can do to bring mine?

These are some pretty extensive ordinances. -might need to petition the city for a variance if you wish to keep chickens on a lot less than 2 acres or one not zoned specifically permitting agricultural use. It also might be worth getting a petition together from others wishing to own backyard chickens. Bring your petition with good arguments supporting backyard flocks before your local city council/government at the public meeting. You may be able to have ordinances amended.
