I have been a fan for decades. I read somewhere that she has published under 17 different names. At one time I knew about 5 of the names. I think most of her names have the initials A.R.

I have the series you mention, but don't think I should say here on BYC. It is definitely for adults only. If anyone is interested you can PM me for info.

I have that series also...

I love Anne Rice. I really tried to read her new stuff but just couldn't get it to click. Maybe someday I will like it. She is always such an interesting interview, too. Brilliant.

I will check out a sample of her new stuff and see what I think though. Mayfair Witches was the best! I don't read horror books, so anyone who hasn't read those books, they are not typical stalk and kill books as was said earlier on this thread. In fact, this was the first foray into adult fantasy/sci fi that I made as a young adult. I also lived alone when I read these books and I am pretty wimpy when it comes to scary books/movies/shows -- I had to wait until day time to watch X-files, The Stand, and others!

I am always really disappointed when a book series I love ends. Like Mayfair and Interview. And oddly sad when the next book or series doesn't seem the same. But really what fun would it be if everything fit the same template? Not much. I cannot wait to see her new work!

I also may have read her adult titles, just didn't keep the copies, so can't prove it!

I read the first "Adult" one, and at the time didn't care for it. If I read it now, I would probably really like it. It is wierd how your tastes change. I LOVE Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy books. Karen Marie Moning's Fever series is a wonderful Urban Fantasy series.
