Another breed question

Forty years ago I had a couple of these
banty' chickens. 'I would like to know what they were.
I hope I've attached my very simplistic pencil drawing.
The bird was dark brown and copper color. What I really remember is the legs were so far apart and the breasts/thighs and legs were HUGE for such a little bird.
I'd like to have some of these birds in my 'retirement' hobby.

i agree with irishhenman. we have an indian game bantie at our place, and she's so fat for her little size. we call her the hobbit.

What you're looking for is called a Dark Cornish, not to be confused with the Cornish cross meat birds. I'm not sure right off who sells them in bantam size, here's a link to McMurray's large fowl

My parents have a dark cornish from Mc Murray. She looks little, and kind of squatty, but boy is she heavy.

Yes indeed the birds were 'dark cornish'.
