Another chicken coop to review and or admire. (****New Pics Added****)

Thanks everyone! It was fun to build. I suppose it did cost me more then $100 bucks because of the hardware, but I had it laying around for quite sometime, so I did not need to buy it for this project.

@ Prospector To answer your question I have 5 birds currently housed in here.

very cool!! love the price tag!!

Great coop.
A little off topic, what kind of dogs do you have? I have a dog I rescued from Belize(fell in love with her while on vacation) and she looks just like that from the back and I have no idea what she is?

That is AWESOME!!

I have been acquiring pallets to make a coop from. Im still waiting to be inspired..........

I just cant believe how awesome yours turned out. Never would know its pallets. Good job!!

I think it looks great and is so secure. I am curious about something, though. Do you happen to know what type of lumber it is? I ask because if I were to build a pallet coop from the pallets I have available, the wood would rot rather quickly without some sort of stain or preservative.

@ bexukaren my pups are Miniature Pincers. Hope that helps.

@ Stumpy I am not sure what type of wood it is, I can tell it is a fairly light wood. I do plan on painting it so as to protect it from rotting, just have not gotten that far yet.

I think the pallet wood mixed with the galvanized hardware makes for a great rustic look. You folks did a fine job there.

One suggestion I would make would be to burry some 12/2 in conduit under ground and run your power out to the coop that way.

Outstanding job.

That power cord was only temporary. We don't have power currently at the Coop. But good catch!

Wow, that is one of the most creative and professional-looking reuse of wood pallets I've ever seen. Your devotion to studying all the designs and then using your local resources to stay within your budget obviously shows skill and pride of workmanship!

Congratulations on a job WELL DONE.

Lovely!!

If I were you, I would have gone for the pallets anyway, if there was an option--they look great! makes it look rustic & old-fashioned!
