I’m thinking pullet! Cockerels aren’t the only ones who get rusty wing patches

I’m comparing the redness of the comb to my other 3 Eggers and the wingbars, and the size and it all points to cockerel. Hopefully some of those member I tagged will come along and give me their opinion. You

I have an EE that looks just like yours and she’s 22 weeks. So I’m going to say pullet !

Pullet. Two of my Easter Eggers ended up being boys and have much larger and redder combs. They turned 1 month old yesterday.

Here's the thing....a little red may be normal in EE pullets' shoulders. However, red wing bars aren't the same as "a touch of rust here and there." This is a male specific trait. Females sport even plumage. It's highly unusual (and probably nearly unheard of) to find a pullet with red wing bars, as demonstrated below.

We shall see how things develop in the next few weeks. If those become any more pronounced, it's almost certainly a cockerel. If not, time to celebrate!
