Another freakin dog fight thread....gross/graphic pics pg 3&4

It's an antibiotic, probably called Combi-Pen or Duo-Pen or something similar, it will be refrigerated. An employee should be able to point you to it.
It's just given under the skin, like a vaccine. Some last 24 hours and some 48, you'll just have to read the bottle.

All right, I think that's what I'm gonna have to do. I know it's either that or I find a vet who'll prescribe without seeing the dog, and I doubt I'm gonna find that. So 1ml/10lbs of weight, twice a day....did u already say how many days? Sorry, I keep missing posts as I'm typing. Anyways, here's the pics of Tuna's bite, the one that I'm really worried about. I put betadine on it, and some got inside under the skin. I hope that doesn't cause problems! Please let me know what you think. There's a little blood and betadine trickling out of it, so it looks kinda gross.

Oh gosh, I was expecting the dogs to be torn in half! He really doesn't look that bad. I've seen much worse do perfectly fine with less treatment than you're doing.

I really think he'll be fine, not that it is much consolation to you, I know how scary it is.
Hopefully the girl will be OK too.

The penicillin is every 24 hours

If your dogs are fighting, stay calm, yelling or screaming at them only makes it worse. If you have two people, it is much easier. Each person pick a dog and grab them by their back legs and lift. Even if you can't lift the dog off the ground, lift their back feet off the ground. They can't hold on in this position and will let go. Then pull them apart and crate. If there is only one person, lift the instigator's back feet and try to pull them apart and warn the other dog off with a firm no. Sometimes you can get them apart long enough to throw one in a crate or another room.

Many years of dog rescue with some fractious breeds has taught me more than I wish to know about the subject.

LOL, I know, but that's Tuna....sasha's the instigator who got whupped. Can u see how deep the puncture is? That's what worries me. I think I'll post pics of Sasha too, cause she's the one more hurt and that has me the most scared. I don't think she'll lose her eye, but then again I don't know. Maybe I'm just overreacting and blowing it all out of proportion, but I'm telling u it took me about three hours to calm down!

Good to know. I might need it in the future, sadly. ITA that the yelling and spazzing out doesn't help one bit. I do believe that Cheyenne was used for dogfights because once we starting yelling, she just have at it.

What some people use their dogs for, is just disgusting.

Dog bite are one of the cleaner bites. From what I see just leave them adn make sure they drain and i'm sure they will be ok. My sister has a border collie that fights other dogs all the time, what she does it picked the dog up by her scruff and her butt, by the skin. This way the dogs can't really turn and bite you, thats one thing you have to be careful about if they are fighting.
