I ordered 7 chicks from My Pet Chicken. They are supposed to be all pullets, but I am wondering about 3 specifically. They are 6 weeks old in these pictures (last week). I have 2 Australorps, 2 SLW, and 1 GLW. There is enough difference between them that makes me wonder. I am a complete newbie that likes to research and over analyze. Understanding that I may not know for sure until one lays an egg, or crows, would anyone like to take a guess at these? I will be shocked if 3-4 out of 7 are roos, but I'm wondering. Thanks in advance for any insight and/or pointers. The 2 shots of the GLW is the same bird.

I'd say pullets too, though I am far from an expert. I really just wanted to say that I worried for the longest time with my bunch that came from mpc last year. Two in particular had me wondering for the longest time, my glw and Australorp. I was especially convinced that they had gotten the GLW wrong. Its tail stood more upright, I don't even know if that's an indicator but at the time it made me question it, she herself actually stood more upright and just seemed a bit meaner. Turned out to be a hen and she is still just a bit meaner:). My australorp was the most outgoing of the bunch. It may have had physical attributes that had me wondering too it's been a while. However in the end MPC sexed all of them right and I ended up with 7 hens a laying.

My husband would tell you that he heard about how that GLW was a rooster for months. Actually I'm sure at some point or another he heard about how each of them was a roo, haha. This is only my second year with chickens and I haven't stopped over analyzing. He is still hearing about which ones out of this years 's new ones I'm convinced are roosters, though I may be slowly, very slowly be getting a little better about telling. Also I jumped on here with my first few and got help, so yeah I may have cheated a wee bit haha.
