I do believe those egg are from my Ga hen. That bator should be prefect for them because this is redneck county.

I have had great rate of egg developing. I have had some people have all form. But it seems they can not get them to hatch. I think it has to do with they way there bator preforms.

Well, I don't have the most perfect bator in the world, hence the reason I call it the ghetto-bator but, I try to stay on top of it so that the temp and humidity don't fluctuate too much... So, we shall see in a few weeks....

Think hatching thoughts!!!!

I hope so too.. He don't quite understand the fertile/non fertile concept so he keeps wanting to candle the eggs in the fridge.. And he also keeps asking if the eggs from the fridge that are in the bator are going to hatch.. I keep trying to explain to him that the eggs in the bator from the fridge are not fertile and will not hatch out chicks.. They are in there as a "control" only and to show what happens when a non fertile egg is incubated compared to a fertile egg... This is our little "science experiment" and there needs to be a control item... Now, if I had a bator that I bought, we would just be hatching eggs.. but since this is the GB, it's an experiment...

I have a red bull bator, the first try did not work temp keep going to high. Had to move the egg to the other bator. I have am not given up I hope one day it will give me wings.

Well, it is now day 2.. Had DH on alert last night to check the GB when he got home (he works nights) and if the temp was too high/low, wake me up so I could fix it... He never woke me up and this morning I panicked thinking, "maybe he forgot" (my obsessed mind thinking too much) so I got up thinking the worst..

Was thinking the temp was 1000 degrees (ok.. slight exaggeration!) and the bator was ready to catch fire and all eggs were going to explode because the temp was waaaaay too high...

NOPE!!! I got up and checked.. 100.6!!!! YAY!!!!!

Let's see if I can stabilize the temp during the day like that with it getting warm in the house... lol
