I recently finished (of course, for now) a nice new coop for my girls. It's 6'X6'X5' (36 sf) tall with a 3'X6' (18 sf) second level/poop pan under the roosts. Would this be 54 sf of floor space or still 36 sf? Regardless... Also, I have a 6' roost and two 18' roosts. Inside the coop are 3 - 12"X12"X12" egg boxes with outside access to get the eggs.
Attached is a 6'X18' (108 sf) run. 12'X6' of it is 6' tall, 6'X6' of it is 1' tall (under the coop). Of course, my girls have all the goodies. A swing, which they love, a little stool that's about 3 ft wide, a tall stool that's about 3 ft wide, usually a hanging cabbage or bird feeder with mealworms, and of course, plenty of food, water and oyster shell.
Attached to that is a 30'X4' (120 sf) side yard that I let the girls run after I get home from work and on the weekends. We don't let them free range due to the fear of predators and/or dogs.
Please see attached pics and watch the video to see my exact setup.

(Hopefully the link works, if not, please copy and paste!)

So, here's my question. As of now, I have seven grown hens (buff Orpington, Easter egger, black copper marans, light Brahma, Barnavelder, Leghorn, and Swedish Flower hen) between 3 months old and a year and a half old. Of course, I have found two more birds that I really would like to add to my flock. A beautiful Olive egger and a blue copper Marans.

IS MY COOP AND RUN BIG ENOUGH!?!?

I think so, they seem happy, but I would like to have other opinions. Thank you.

CitrusMan, I really enjoyed your video. Your girls all are pretty, and they seem very happy with their current setup..as far as adding more, I can't really say. I have an 8x6 coop with 6 girls. I would only add 2 more at the max, because in the winter they stay inside more..Just my thoughts though.

Thank you. It usua
Going by the generally accepted 4 sq ft/bird in the coop and 10 sq ft/bird in the run, you have room for 2 more birds. Nice setup you've got there!
Thank you. For the most part, our girls stay out year round. It doesn't get very cold (Daytona Beach) around here. Thank you for the input!

Your set up is working for now.

There isn't much room for integration though. Any time one adds birds there needs to be lots of extra space.

There are things that take away from coop actual usable sq footage. Nest box space, feeder space and anything that prevents a bird from standing in that space needs subtracted from the sq footage.

Your coop sits really low. Can they stand up under there? Do you have access on the sides in case someone isn't feeling well and heads under there?

In the end it is your choice whether you add or hold off. Either way I wish you happy chickening.

By the way.... The one you refer to in your video as a light Brahma is actually a dark Brahma light Brahma are white with some black in the neck and tail. ;)
