Another loss, thinking some aerial predator.

We have black vultures here. They have never attempted to take a chicken even when I used to free range daily. I only had problems with coyotes and fox especially during the spring when they are looking for mates or looking for food for their young. They are mostly after carrion.

Turkey vultures don't, but black vultures will.
I looked at pictures of black vultures and I don't think those are it. But it's a good thing to keep in mind I guess.

Glad to hear that. There's been so many all of a sudden I was beginning to wonder if I could ever free-range my chickens again!
