Hi!

I'm near Bristol UK and have an organic farm selling mainly vegetables. I'm experimenting with chickens for eggs and have had 5 chickens for nine months but am still very much a beginner! They are ex commercial hybrids (Bovans Goldline type I think?? Tan/brown ones!). Just introducing a new bunch of 10 from the same free-range farm... posting about how to integrate the 2 groups now! Excited and grateful for all the knowledge and experience on here.

Ex Bat hens are a good laying but short lived breed. If an egg battery sold them to you and they are two years old, they will not lay many eggs for you.

Look for started pullets--They are pullets at about 16 weeks old
