Another Ohio "Chick" lol

Hey Everyone,

I know corny subject line but I couldn't help myself lol. But I joined BYC a week or so ago and didn't find the intro section until today. Anyway, I'm not new to chickens but haven't had any for about 4 years. I lost my last flock in a horrible flood. Anyway, we moved and now I'm all to ready to start again . I had various breeds of chickens, indigo, piebald and white peafowl, bourbon red and royal palm turkeys, and Peking ducks. I miss them very much. But I'm extremely excited because arriving tomorrow are some lavender Orpington and black copper maran eggs from another list member. So if you all have a spare minute say a prayer for a great hatch . It's been a few years since I've incubated and I've had the baton fired up for several days to get everything all stabilized. So wish me luck

A bit about me aside from chickens....I'm a mother of 5 (2 in college, 1 in HS and 2 in JHS)
I'm a nurse and I've been a breeder and exhibitor of harlequin and mantle Great Danes for 17 yrs now.

Thanks Everyone !!! My eggs arrived today in awesome shape and they will go in the bator later this evening. I'm waiting for about 12 hrs before I set them. I'm so excited.

Oh and Kevin656 what color Danes do you have ?
