Just wondering...we have a young IB peacock, he's six months old. He has two peahen friends, one is his mother. In the past few days, he's been
strutting his stuff (not that he has much to show yet....!) and flirting with the hens, and this morning he ran at his mother and tried to jump on
to breed with her. She put him in his place and it was funny to see her reaction.
But isn't he a bit premature? He's not going
to be sexually mature for another year or two, is he? We've had other IB peacocks his age, but when they were his age we didn't have any peahens,
so I don't have any experience with that.

She lays eggs all the way through mid to late September, usually.... always has, and ALWAYS goes broody.
I'll just pray that she makes her nest where I can easily monitor it. She usually does.
