Trying to determine the sex of this chick. I have read everything here and looked at pics. I will post some. 5 weeks old, easter egger. Seems to be getting the three rows of peas. No color on comb or crowing or any bumping or aggression yet. Cant have a rooster and cant dispatch a bird in my neighborhood and besides I want eggs.

So far, looks like you have a lovely pullet. :)

I've never known the whole 3 rows of peas thing to be very accurate, as both male and female EEs can show these from a young age. Behavior also isn't a good method of determining whether a bird is a pullet or cockerel. Boys can be meek and mild, and likewise, pullets can be aggressive overlords. The very best way in most breeds is gauging comb/wattle development and redness. :D

Updating photos (posting wrong a minute ago). Original chick adding comb photo, developing some color. 2 chick EE. Comb is also deveolping color but is just bumpy, no rows. 3 is BCM. Large comb, no color, small wattles with some color. Large feet. Hope pictures are good. Please give my your expert guesses. Thank you.

Could you wait another week? It's just kinda iffy..... I'm thinking your black chick isn't a EE.

Please, please help with gender determination. Light colored, mostly white and orange EE and clean leg Black Copper Maran. Roos or no? They are 8-9 weeks. Thank you.
