Another right of passage in chicken keeping

I have a cute little egg basket to collect my eggs in, but I never remember to take it out to the coop with me. My SO has reminded me several times to take it, but I don't. I have to wear my jacket to go outside right now anyhow and it has nice roomy pockets, so....
What I didn't know is that if you fill your jacket pocket with eggs and then have to bend over sharply, you can break eggs. You'll hear a pop and know instantly what that warm wet feeling is.
I'm in the process of washing my jacket as I type this.

Hahaha! I've done that more than once. It was the worst when I put one in my coat pocket and then went to the P.O. Wondered why my jeans got all sticky, LOL.

Yup, done that. Usually the 2 year old reminds me...."don't forget the basket or you will squish the eggs in your pocket"

My hubby has done that twice! You'd think he would have learned the first time, it made him so mad. I thought it was hilarious... both times.

Well, I haven't broken one yet, but I have put one in my pocket and forgotten about it and then found it days later...

I think we have all done that a time or two. I have never popped them in my pocket but i have had them shoot out of my arms and hit the floor
