i had gotten one egg out of a box and put it n my pocket and we i was going back outside i just opened the door slighty just enuff for me to get out and not all the chickens and pop uhoh
We have done this a few times each but the funniest was when we collected the eggs (only one at that time) and then went to get some stuff out of the trunk, Must of set the egg down and forgot it because a week later when we went to put groccerys in it was sitting there right on the spare tire. Not broke or anything!
I once realized I had an egg in my pocket at the grocery store check out counter. I pulled it out of my pocket & started laughing. The check out girl just looked at me like I was crazy. Last week it was so nice out I decided to vacuum my car. When I was done I found the egg in my pocket intact!
I've had to launder broken egg out of the inside pocket of my fleecy barn-coat liner THREE TIMES now, and you know what, it is really ahrd to get it out 100%
I SO need to keep a bag or something in there, or even use an actual basket.
So, how many eggs can y'all carry in one hand with a reasonable chance of not dropping them? My absolute limit is 6, but 5 is a lot safer and even then there are occasional exciting moments of egg-juggling.

If I have just a shirt on I grab the bottom and pull it up to make a little well and put my eggs there. That way I don't FORGET that I have eggs to put away.

I can do 6 if I hold my arm against my body and walk carefully. I have to watch where I'm going so I don't trip over the hens who see something in my hand and are positive it's something else for them to eat. Since I'm a bit of a klutz the day is going to come when I have egg on my face, literally.

I've already done the pocket thing once so far.
Wow, I do that ALL the time (literally) when harvesting things in the garden, it just never occurred to me to do it with eggs. Doh!
