Ant control

I use Ground Cinnamon around my front porch where I feed two small semi feral cats(They let pet them, just me.) I haven't tried it around Chickens yet. Nobody's said if it's safe or not, then again my chickens usually eat them anyway.

Hi! Does the cinnamon work? And that’s what I was wondering, if the chickens would eat them... but I don’t see my gals eating them. I wish they would... I was also wondering if I would put piles of sugar on the outside of the run as to attract them out?? Or would they just return? I thought that DE has little fine shavings of glass (or something like that) in it that can be harmful to breath in? To chickens and humans... that makes me nervous cuz I like to sit in the run with the gals and it’s very dusty...

Like I said I haven't tried with my chickens, just my cats, and from my understanding DE comes in a safe food grade. Amazon has some.

No, if these are sugar ants and you do not live a salt water body, use salt. Sugar ants inland with no steady supply of salt will go for the rare resource. ants living near salt water bodies will go to sugar. (There was a study done somewhere, forgot where, but I tested it myself.)

I love DE for ants. Only had to apply it twice this summer did an amazing job for me!

We’ve had tons of rain the last few weeks, more on the way, and my coop is over run with ants. Will DE help? Looking for something natural.

I love someone saying DE doesn’t work for ants !? That’s what it’s labeled for , it definitely is an all natural ant killer , I used to walk around my 109 year old house and sprinkle it on all the window sills and door ways ,

You could try planting mint or other ant repellent plants
