Ok I have 2 different ages of chicks in my coop. The older ones have roosted readily from the start. The younger ones lay on the floor in one corner of the coop! How can I teach them to roost?
There is plenty of roost space, even a whole unused roost. They really aren't comfortable being grabbed and moved over. It disrupts all the girls then. Any ideas?

the younger ones will learn to roost just by watching the older ones :] dont worry, they'll be fine

It took awhile for the older ones to even let the little ones come in the coop at the same time! It's kinda cute because as soon as the big ones "fly the coop" in the morning the little ones jump right on. Its like the are being the bad kids while the parents are away!

I still have some young ones that prefer the floor and I have 2 unused roosts. I figure they will get it eventually...there were 4 on the floor and now only 2.
You may try giving them a concrete brick or something to use as a step up? I dont know how tall yours is....or you make try to give them lessons in the evening when it is bedtime?
