Antibiotics

When using antibiotics, what is the safest wait time for using the eggs? Some warnings on antibiotic packaging says not to use on chickens providing food. Does that mean that if you use the antibiotic, you can never again eat the eggs?

With each antibiotic, there will be a different withdrawal time. Most people will use a reasonable time before eating eggs. Just post which antibiotic, and we may be able to give you a withdrawal time.

I have and I can again more. She pecks when I try to touch it. I have been putting triple antibiotic cream on it.

I don't usually treat wounds like that with oral antibiotics, I just keep them clean and out the neosporin on them.

Kathy and everyone, you've always all been a great help with my flock!
Here's a new problem.... My Eastern Wild turkey, born last Sept/recently mature) has suffered a large cut on her belly/lower breast/above leg joint. It is clean and I cut off a loose tuff of feathers, and have applied Bacitracin and am now using essential oils with coconut oil. Yesterday was Day 4 since the injury, in this first pic below. The second pic is Day 2. In your comment above, you did not recommend an oral antibiotic--correct? I just can't imagine this will heal where the skin is clearly missing-- but I trust everyone's posts that say she'll heal well. Thanks in advance!
