Ants ants ants and more ants

Dawn dish washing liquid in water is good for killing ants...just pour it on the mounds and spray it directly on them also.

Borax, detergent, will work but you'll have to put it where the chickens and other pets can't get to it. It dehydrates them and they love to eat it. Just be careful of the animals, they like it too. I put it on the top of the rafters in the barn and on the backsplash of my kitchen cabinets and they were gone overnight.

I am sure I don't have fired ants, these aggravating ants are everywhere. They are black ants bigger than the fire ants. By my investigating senses I have seen a bunch of smaller little ants hills. But on our ground you look and there are hundreds, no millions of ants. You can't stand still without having to stomp your feet. It is bad. We are getting some Malathon to spray the yard. I have cked with my Feed and Seed Hardware store and they have some stuff called High Yield. He tells me is it safe around chickens, but will read the label myself to make sure first. I may have to just stick with Selvin and just spray each day to keep them at bay. I'll get them sooner or later.

I am still considering finding a Ant Eater. Wonder where I could find one?

Thanks everybody. I am glad to know that the DE really don't work. I did find where I can get it but whew weee it expensive too
