Ants are annoying

Hello, so when I checked on my chickens like a week ago at night as I always do, I saw that they had ants crawling all over them, so I decided to put them in the garage since then. Our chicken coop is raised, so is there anything that I could possibly do to the legs? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Try spraying them with peppermint oil or Apple cider vinegar. I hear you can use those as natural barriers to deter ants.

Plain old soapy water will kill most ants.

If their feeder is attracting the ants, set it up on something that can act as a moat and fill it with soapy water or some sort of safe oil like cooking oil. Back in the day they kept pie safes safe from ants by sitting the legs in cans filled with oil.
