I'll definitely have to look into finding some of this.. so would this be safe to say... spray around the bottom of my a-frame coop? Ants seem to be using the entire bottom of the frame as a highway.

You can also use Orange Guard, sold by ACE Hardware, an orange oil based insecticide that is pretty safe to use. It gets into cracks and smells really nice, too. I know for a fact, it also kills termites if sprayed on them directly.

I won't us Oxine in my chickens water all the time, it kills all germs. When I do use oxine I then use probios for good germs.
