Terro liquid, put it on a rock in he path of the ants outside the run they will take it back to the nest and it will kill the entire colony. It is water sugar and borax. I use it with great success.

Formic acid in ant bodies make them unappealing to chickens, but chickens may enjoy eating ant eggs if the ant nests are exposed.

I am having issues with ant infestations right now. We’ve not had much rain so their everywhere. I had to completely disassemble my barn cat crate cause ants took up residence a dnthe chickens ate the eggs. My two ducks ate the ants.

My issue I have is I have a few broody hens on eggs, they’ve started to hatch and one egg had been crushed by another chcpicken crawling in to lay. Ants were all over it while mother was still on them.

Are the products listed safe to use around the chicks? Plan to spray the outside of the nesting boxes. I know their living under coop, have no way to get them there though.
