Well my hen is on eggs. My problem is that there are ants outside. Like once, I cracked and egg on accidents, and swarms of ants came. So if the eggs hatch, the ants may crawl on it. How do I get rid of them? NO exterminator, we like the butterflies and beetles.

I wonder if dusting with diatomaceous earth would work? Periodically I get ants in my house and I'd rather not use pesticides either. Hopefully someone else has more insight...
