Anxious- first time getting chicks shipped

Some pics of the fluff butts. Looks like the random rare breed was a 3rd lavender orpington and the meal maker bird is an EE!

When we got our chicks from Meyers our lavender Orpington and Colombian Wyandotte looked identical for a couple weeks, so you may have a Colombian Wyandotte there. My guess based on what we have gotten from Meyers is mystery bird 1 is a white rock (which we have and love). 2 is likely a gold laced Wyandotte. 3 and 4 I am not sure

oooh, that is good to know. I will keep an eye on that! I was thinking 2 was a Wyandotte.

For trying to sort breeds: it helps to check the comb type, although when they're this tiny some will still be confusing.

Mystery Bird #1 has a single comb-- right for Rock, most Leghorns, and a bunch of other breeds.

Orpingtons are supposed to have single combs too, and I see that the front two do (photo angle is wrong for me to see the third one.)

Wyandottes are supposed to have rose combs, which tend to look wider and flatter even at this age. I think I'm seeing one on Mystery Bird #2, which I agree with DougVC is probably a Gold Laced Wyandotte.

Mystery chick #1 is feathering out white with black spots on tail feathers and wings. Looks like a single comb? Still have no idea what breed it is!

Looks like a single comb to me, although it's usually easier to see with a straight view from the front.

I agree that the breed is still puzzling!
Delawares would be white with small amounts of black, but I think they do have more black than yours does.

Chicks can be quite a mystery sometimes! But breeds are usually easier to recognize by the time they grow up.

here’s a better shot of the comb. (So hard to photograph! But at least this little one loves to be picked up)
