Any advice on what killed my chicken?

I had a full grown california white dissappear yesterday during the day. I have six chickens that free range during daytime hours. When I got home yesterday, one was missing. I found it today and here is the situation. While it does look like something tore at the breast a bit and did pull out some entrails, the majority of the chicken was intact. However, all of the meat from the neck was cleaned off. The head was in tack and the neck bone as well, but the neck bone was completely cleaned off. Was this a hawk?

Sounds very much like a hawk kill especially if feathers were strewn around the kill/eating site. Whatever the predator, be prepared - it will return.
