Hi everyone , I'm new to incubating ducklings and getting increasingly worried!!
I have 4 silver bantam duck eggs in a Brinsea incubator currently at 37.6, I'm growing more worried every day as I'm reading more that ducklings are hard to hatch and bantams even harder 😢
I am on day 13 all eggs are fertile but I have noticed that 2 of the air sacks are saddled and the other 2 dont seem to be very big (slightly larger eggs and darker in colour) but not sure if that makes a difference, also all the air sacks are on the more rounded end and not the pointy end?
The eggs were shipped to me and as I understand could be the cause of saddleling ..... I know that I am a little way off from hatching but wondered if there is anything I can do to correct things?

I'm in love with these little fellas already and feeling a little/lot sad at the thought of them not hatching knowing that they are all moving around in there and growing well 🙈

Looking forward to hearing any advice from you guys

Hi and welcome to BYC :frow We're so happy you've decided to join us:ya

Your air sacks on the rounded end are in the right place. What's your humidity set at. Should be about 40-45%. @WVduckchick has some good articles on hatching ducks. You'll want to read them before lock down.
Thank you for the warm welcome 😁

The incubator I'm using isn't displaying a reading so I have a reader fast tracked on order to make sure all is as good as it should be and will be with me by tomorrow.
I am however following the instructors that came with the incubator so finger crossed should be ok but for my own piece of mind would rather have the reader to double check

I will definitely be reading through the articles on hatching ducklings thank you xx
