any advise on sexing baby chicks?

we just had 3 babies hatch out today and I'd love to figure out the sex, so I know whether or not to handle them... also any advise on baby chicks being raised by mum would be helpful!

What breed are they? Or are they mixed. You could try vent sexing. This video really helps:

Do you know what breed the chicks are? Unless they are an auto sexing breed or a sex link hybrid, both of which can be sexed by color from hatching, you won't be able to sex them accurately until they are around a couple of months old. Around that time, cockerels will begin developing very red combs and wattles. Pullets combs do not redden up until they are close to laying.

Yes the hen hatched them out, she's doin. great job...

they are a cross with a red sex link and a white rooster... no clue his breed he was a tractor supply purchase...

You won't be able to sex them by color. You will have to wait a couple of months and sex them by the redness of the combs and wattles. If you want to post pics of them on our What Breed or Gender is This? section at that time, we should be able to tell you what gender they are.

Agreed. A Sex-Link can't be created by using any kind sex-linked bird (or dominant white bird, for that matter). The white bird of the cross was probably dominant white, so the offspring will grow up to be white, unless the bird was recessive.
