Wow, i loved scrolling through this thread. So much amazing talent!!

Here’s my latest work, a rooster! Super happy with how it turned out :] I really want to do a whole ton of chickens and make a colourful series out of it!

Yes from magazines! I used a range of agricultural and food magazines donated by friends (hence the excess of vegetables, bees, and horses haha). It’s all stuck via gluestick on a board - soon I’ll be putting a varnish over the top to make sure everything stays stuck down ^-^

How much experience do you have? It’s quite beautiful! You inspired me to try collage myself. I guess I found something I’m goof at because this is just a first try. I guess I have done paper cutting crafts before but this took a long time. I used rubber cement and Birds and Blooms mag on cardstock. I found a new hobby!

Note: modge podge will make it wrinkly. Next time I’ll try an alternative

I’ve been dabbling with collages for just over a year now, and I think my rooster is by far my favourite piece yet.
Did you do yours on paper? I’ve found that the magazines wrinkle less when board is used, or wood. Not to say the board is completely flawless either - but I actually don’t mind when the odd piece wrinkles, gives it a funky texture

I did mine on cardstock paper. I’ll take not eof that, I want to make a bigger one next time.
