I used to draw more fandom stuff and I still do, but I like drawing my OCs because it’s completely self-indulgent, I can make it however I like, and anything “problematic” about it I can just change if I so desire instead of having to deal with a ravaging fan base. The problem is, since OCs don’t have a fan base it’s a lot harder to find a community to cater to who will appreciate the art. Like I had a tumblr and whenever I posted OC stuff no one ever paid any attention but they loved my cute Star Wars drawings or gravity falls or undertale or what have you

Lol I just don’t post a lot of my obscure fan art. No one would recognize the characters because I draw them how I’d imagine them and not like the actors.
