Any artists out there?

It's just I feel that nobody totally appreciates my art.... I just feel that it's too hard to try to impress people anymore other than myself. :) I may not draw things that really excite anybody, and that's okay, we all like and dislike different things, and that's okay! :thumbsup
You felt pressure to draw things for other people? You don't need to -- you should just draw what you want to when you want to.

Well, it's not that. I love to draw stuff for people!

I do, but that's the thing.... I don't feel like I draw stuff some people want to see. I love drawing people, but I just feel like nobody really cares. People love Puffy's covers and concept art, and Amer draws very good birds. I feel I am equal in skill to others, it's just that I feel like nobody really likes my fanart.

I'm ranting and comparing myself, I'm sorry if I sound like a dork.:(

It's just, I love and thrive off of positive feedback, like "nice shading keep it up!" Or "Beautiful eyes and colors, nice texture." You know? No body really comments on my art anymore."

Ya'll don't have to say something every time, I totally understand that, but just the fact that somebody might has something to say about my artwork. :)

I used to try for compliments and then realized I just can’t expect other people to take time out of their day for that stuff. You have to realize that people have more important things in life than complimenting art. I always compliment people a lot because that’s what I want in return but it can be exhausting sometimes. That’s why even though I don’t get many compliments I don’t really mind. Also you make large quantities of art, which I can take for granted after a while. I don’t know how you do it, itt Right now, I am not inspired to make one piece, let alone many.
But I always have to remember, I don’t live for other people’s approval, I live for God. So my art is for my enjoyment, others’ enjoyment, God’s enjoyment. I love compliments, but while I used to really hope for them, I don’t really care anymore.
I get it if you post less art though. I used to post every piece, but I am learning that I can enjoy things just for myself sometimes (though I kinda suck at that.)
Sorry, did that come off harshly? It was a hard lesson for me to learn.

Oh @Amer, @HawaiiCoyote, @puffypoo, @RoosterWhisperer!
Here she is! Kanon Chiyoda! (Forgive me for any off-face shading...;))

This is so true!

There will be competition in the world, but the only person one has to become better than, is themselves.
When I am going into a big project, like my one of Kanon, I asked God in prayer for the confidence and skill to finish it, and to help me not give up! And look, it turned out great!
