Any artists out there?

This is so true!

There will be competition in the world, but the only person one has to become better than, is themselves.
When I am going into a big project, like my one of Kanon, I asked God in prayer for the confidence and skill to finish it, and to help me not give up! And look, it turned out great!
Like in Alan Jacksons's song, "What a friend we have in Jesus", he says:
"Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer"
(Hope this helps!)

It's just, I love and thrive off of positive feedback, like "nice shading keep it up!" Or "Beautiful eyes and colors, nice texture." You know? No body really comments on my art anymore."

Ya'll don't have to say something every time, I totally understand that, but just the fact that somebody might has something to say about my artwork. :)
There is no harsher critic in the art world than yourself. You know where every flaw is in your work, and even things you're absolutely in love with have parts you hate. That's burden enough without any extra outside influences. I get that you like creating for other people, but if your only goal is their enjoyment, you're gonna burn yourself out quickly, because people in general are far less responsive than we would wish them to be. 1 like or comment in 100 views is GOOD in general for most social media platforms. And keep in mind, Yes, there are a bunch of talented folks around here, but this is also a chicken forum, not an art school :) Your audience is very limited to folks with like interests, and I think you'd find that for the most part a lot of the comments are chatty about the subjects, not so much the actual art itself. Don't get too deep in your head space worrying about whether people like your work or not. Just create and put it out there for YOU.

It's just I feel that nobody totally appreciates my art.... I just feel that it's too hard to try to impress people anymore other than myself. :) I may not draw things that really excite anybody, and that's okay, we all like and dislike different things, and that's okay! :thumbsup
I love your art, you are so talented.
Art shouldn't be for others, it should make you feel good. If you want to take a break that's okay, just know all of us on this thread love your art!

Oh @Amer, @HawaiiCoyote, @puffypoo, @RoosterWhisperer!
Here she is! Kanon Chiyoda! (Forgive me for any off-face shading...;)) View attachment 2767854
You did knock my socks off! My feet are cold now. XD The purple hair was unexpected. I love the volume, and you did well on those eyes. The eyes aren't just beautiful and symmetrical, they have an awesome expression.

Thank you both, really! :hugs I'm in a better mood today, I guess was just in a bit of a slump.... All that matters is that I love what I do. And I do! :)

I wont let it get to deep into my head again, hopefully! Thank you, AZ!

I won't totally stop posting, but I will take a break and only post my best works.
