I think, your special style, which you have worked to develop, takes over.
I don't really have a special style when sketching people, I just use the anime style. But, for animals, I have a very special style.

That's really cute! Pirr is looking pretty hot, I'm going to be honest.
Personally, I think that it could be an anime style. Anime isn't really just one type of eyes or whatever -- there's a wide range of kinds. Some of them do look pretty alike (hard to tell apart), but yours is still really cute.

This is so good!
When I draw people my style is just one of the many realistic styles. My cats and dogs are more distinctive for some reason. I do have a particular animating and cartooning style tho, one for birds and one for poultry.

I personally really like "Pirr." It kind of makes me think of wings in that it sounds similar to "whir," as in "the whirring of wings," when a bird takes flight.
That's just my take on it, though.
