When was the last time that I actually posted a piece of artwork on here? Does anyone remember that far back? Must've been months, I think.
Anyway, I drew this the other day but kept forgetting to post it. I guess that this will be my last drawing posted here for 2021.
The character is Hatsune Miku, a Vocaloid. I don't usually draw eyes like that, but I've seen a few cute pictures on Pinterest where the eyes are basically colored ovals, so I decided to try it. The shading on the hair is also a bit weird. I guess that I was in an experimental mood that day.
Sketched using a mechanical pencil, inked using a 0.5mm Sharpie pen, and colored using Crayola colored pencils.

Colors and shading look perfect to me, especially the eyes!

Maybe one of you artists can help me. I am currently working on a horse, and I am taking a lot of inspiration from this artist. The problem I am having is with the mane and tail, I can’t figure out how they did them. Perhaps any of you have an idea?

Long hair, keep it clumped! Hair is not usually thin, it has body. Once you sketch out the shaped of the mane and tail, then add some squiggly marks to represent the curls.
