Hi all! When I saw this thread, I couldn't wait to share some of the arts I enjoy. Something I like that is a lot of fun and unique is a mixture of paper cutting and paper layering. They're easy to turn into cards, or frame, or whatever anyone can think of to do with them, really! I use colored cardstock and an exacto knife.

The first one is a card I made for my great great uncle's hundredth birthday. The vehicle is a tiny ElCamino smaller than my pinky! He enjoys hmnys, hence the words.
The second is a valentine's day card that took several hours of careful cutting. Inspired by those neat layered light boxes.
The third is the first one I ever did, a nice landscape. I used some foam sheet cut in squares to raise some of the layers.
Fourth is a "quilt" card for my mother's birthday. The lighter blue back layer was actually a white sheet that I splashed with watery gauche and sprinkled with salt for effect.
Last one was another landscape that I much enjoyed creating, lightly inspired by "The Black Stallion".
Each of these took several hours and I have fun every time, especially when I get to gift it to someone. :)

I set up a tripod to mount my phone and get some short clips of my hands doing that thing I do to knives.

This isn't art, but I spent 7 hours making this, a dish out of my wheel house. Xinjiang Uyghur lamb bone soup. Stock from roasted shin bones, shoulder and leg meat, onions, celery and cumin seeds. The stock is full flavored and delicate, poured over a stir fry of thinly sliced lamb meat seasoned with ground cumin, kashmiri chilies, corn starch, light and dark soy sauce and onion wedges, blanched choy sum, and thick wheat noodles.

Wow! I love making cards with cut paper. Sometimes I do that too!
