Any artists out there?

most likely the paint thinner melted it. :(

Yep, that’s what I’m thinking. I just reviewed a Bob Ross video, and I see what I did wrong.

He touched the canvas very lightly with paint thinner. I, on the other hand, touched it much heavier. I may have had too much thinner on the brush as well.

Well, there’s always next time….

Yep. Getting back into drawing.

I drew a sketch and put it aside, when i went back to it i realized i would have to start over because it was the wrong proportions.

I did, and i was almost done and it was looking great. Then i closed the program without saving it. :gig:hit

This is why i have no art to share.
Awwwww
I'm sorry
I guess that is one reason to love traditional mediums

Although if I don't get acrylic spray or at least hair spray I can't close my sketchbook or everything will smudge!
Hey guys, this is art related, but it may sound off-topic.

One of my antidepressants is no longer working for me, and I’m being put on a new one. While I’m waiting and battling depression, I decided to paint to help myself distract.

I noticed something happened during my painting session, and this just shows how depressed and mentally out of it I am.

As you can see on the bottom, I was trying to paint grass in front of a giant tree, but I grabbed permanent red instead of sap green.

How I made that mistake, I don’t know, but that just shows how out of it I am right now.

Everything else looks good, though.
That's a beautiful painting!
Seriously, it needed some amendments, so I added some this morning.

I added wood grain.

After, at 4:30 PM.

What the heck happened? Where did the knots go? This is not a joke, the painting changed on its own while I was doing errands in town!

I have to admit, I’m a little creeped out.

Here are some details on what I did, in case anyone is interested. I applied liquid clear to the white canvas. Afterwards, I used burnt sienna and went up and down with a 2 inch brush. After that, I added the knots. I then used a little bit of paint thinner on a fan brush to make the wood grain by applying it to the canvas directly.

Can someone explain what happened? How did the painting change on its own?
Oh bummer!

Pretty horse and pretty scenery!
Wow, you've gotten really good!! I love the jagged lines, and the wrapping and folding of clothing, and how everything has mass to it
It reminds me of a comic book
Have you read Watership Down? Obviously very different from the Green Ember but it is food and it has rabbits
