I realize this thread is basically dead, but I (My family) own a poultry slaughter house in Springfield. When this was initially posted we were located in Feeding Hills but have since moved. We sell all types of poultry, live and dressed, as well as offering custom slaughter services. We are located at 468 Walnut St. and are open Tuesday-Sunday. The charge to bring your own birds for slaughter is $5 per chicken, $7 per duck, and $10 per turkey. We slaughter every day we are open but weekdays are preferable for custom slaughter because it is a strain on our own slaughter operation.
