Thanks to those that are providing helpful and constructive feedback and ideas.
Please know that the staff are constantly discussing almost every aspect of the forum. Some things are done right away, others take longer, and some are just put off until we have time to breathe.
I posted this to the staff for discussion but I think it is good for the members to know too.
When evaluating new forum sections we want to make sure that the section:
1) Doesn't duplicate / cause confusion with other sections. For example, with organic, the concern is it will duplicate feeding, management, etc. People may come to the forum looking to post a question about organic feeding and will be at a loss where to put it. Some may argue all feeding should go into the current section regardless of if it is organic or not.
2) Would it be active enough to justify its own section. There are a few current forum sections that I'm thinking are ready to be merged since there is so little activity (relative to others).
Until we make a decision the best way to proceed is as follows: Members create "organic" threads in their respective sections (meat, food, care, etc.) and we can have an "Organic Threads Index" where people can see links to thread that have an organic theme.
Again, thanks for the feedback and helpful discussions. We'll continue to discuss the pros and cons between the staff and go from there.
